Act of Clara Zoth
An act, maybe of better kind, but a face, not quite, as one expects it in an act,
and that I too at first did not intend to paint, but at last I liked it as something special, as a kind of counterpoint.
Picture
To avoid any kitsch-suspicion in art, a nude act should not be too beautiful. Schiele probably did this recognize. But who would want to have a deformity naked on the wall before his eyes ? Then rather a nude, half beautiful like this, that rises classically from the dark.
