Swamp

In the center of dark moor there came from deep below a gurgling song of toads and in the night

a sparkling of glow worms, to tell us of a woman that long ago sank here in the moor.

Picture

A swamp, in which first a marshy wooer has been hiding, horror man for maids and daughters. But I had to remove him by the family's strict order. In vain I offered as a compromise, to clothe the naked wooer. Now the painting is decent and clean, still atmospheric and expressive. . But something now is missing. Thus secretly I think to repaint swamp-wooer back into the picture.
